Westhill Episcopal Church Website Print E-mail

We hope you enjoy our church's web site.

We are an Evangelical/Charismatic Episcopal(Anglican) Church situated in the town of Westhill near the city of Aberdeen. We are part of the Diocese of Aberdeen and Orkney  www.aberdeen.anglican.org and are affiliated to the Evangelical Alliance- www.eauk.org Our worship is contemporary, with biblical teaching and ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Morning Worship varies in style, from the All Age Service on the first Sunday of the Month to the Holy Communion Services which are held twice a month and our monthly Healing and Renewal Service on the third Sunday of each month.

We seek to serve Jesus by reaching out to others in the community, with the love of Christ. We do this in practical ways, such as our Care in the Community ministry, as well as our regular ALPHA COURSE

If we can help you in any way then please do contact us.

Revd Canon Ian J Ferguson

Our Vision Print E-mail

Our VISION is to be a church on the move, serving God at the heart of the community.

† Moving IN, in fellowship with one another

† Moving OUT, in reaching out to our community

† Moving UP, in worship to God.

So we are an 'IOU' church - in debt to God, for all that He has done for us through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Why the Logo?

If you look at the stick figure you will see our IOU. The 'I' is the body, the 'O' is the head and the 'U' is the arms of the figure. This is the Vision God has given us - to be a 3-D church that is moving In, Out and Up. Serving God at the heart of the community.

The figure also shows someone lifting hands in praise. This reflects the vital importance of worship at the heart of our church. It is set against a background of a moving river, which for us expresses the River of God's Holy Spirit as spoken of in Ezekiel 47.

Prayer Visiting
A good while back we visited homes in Westhill with a leaflet that people could fill in, outlining any prayer needs they may have. We are going to launch another Prayer Visitation of our community.
