Our VISION is to be a church on the move, serving God at the heart of the community.
† Moving IN, in fellowship with one another
† Moving OUT, in reaching out to our community
† Moving UP, in worship to God.
So we are an 'IOU' church - in debt to God, for all that He has done for us through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Why the Logo?
If you look at the stick figure you will see our IOU. The 'I' is the body, the 'O' is the head and the 'U' is the arms of the figure. This is the Vision God has given us - to be a 3-D church that is moving In, Out and Up. Serving God at the heart of the community.
The figure also shows someone lifting hands in praise. This reflects the vital importance of worship at the heart of our church. It is set against a background of a moving river, which for us expresses the River of God's Holy Spirit as spoken of in Ezekiel 47.

The Vestry Originally the word referred to the room where the priest/minister would put on his robes, at which time local laity would meet with him to discuss the affairs of the parish/church. Over time the name of the room came to signify the group of men and women who goverened the parish because it was there where they met.
The Role of the Vestry The vestry of an Episcopal church has three primary responsibilities. The first two are managerial; to take care of the church's finances and to be responsible for the care of the building/s. The third is to make appointments such as the choice of rector, appointment of Treasurer and Secretary. But the vestry also has a vital leadership role in that it supports the Rector and staff in the spiritual welfare of the church.
